About this deal

Overall, this is a best-in-class dehumidifier that does a fantastic job of extracting moisture from the home and is one of the best dehumidifier for drying washing fast. Are there any improvements? At this present moment in time the answer is no. I can’t think of anything that can be improved on this unit, it works brilliantly, and my breathing has improved. After a few hiccups with the delivery arrangements, which were fairly easily resolved by the team at appliance direct. I have to give a special shout-out to the driver Guljar Ahmed (route 201) who made the installation process so seamless. Whilst we don't think it can quite beat the MeacoDry Arete One on overall performance, Pro Breeze's latest launch, the 20L Premium Dehumidifier with Special Laundry Mode, is the best dehumidifier for drying clothes that we've tested. That's as long as you don't mind accepting noisier operation and higher running costs for its powerful laundry-drying performance. There is nothing worse than your dehumidifier breaking down just after the Manufacturer's warranty has expired. Here at Buy It Direct Ltd we want you to get the most out of your dehumidifier, which is why we offer a5 Year Warranty plan.

In our opinion, the Pro Breeze 12L Low Energy Dehumidifier can't beat the MeacoDry Arete One Dehumidifier on performance, nor is its energy use lower than the comparable MeacoDry 12L Arete One. However, it's a popular choice thanks to its lower price tag, and the fact that – unlike the Meaco dehumidifier range – you can regularly find the Pro Breeze 12L reduced further during sale periods. We don't really get involved in medical inquiries here but removing humidty from a property is generally considered beneficial for everyone's health, partcularly the respiratory system. It's also worth considering noise levels and energy consumption before you invest in a dehumidifier. What's the quietest dehumidifier?Despite its compact size, this dehumidifier is also heavy. And noisy. We also didn’t find it that much help with drying clothes, although it did a good job of managing general damp and reducing condensation and mould on windows and walls. Our Extended 2 Year Warranty from Buy It Direct gives you the reassurance that if an electrical or mechanical fault arises you won't be exposed to costly repair bills. Our dedicated technical team will take care of your dehumidifier. Lastly, there's extra functionality to consider. The best dehumidifiers you can buy offer a Smart mode. That means you can leave the dehumidifier running and its sensors will detect the humidity levels and switch the machine on and off to keep humidity within your desired range. That saves energy (and money) as the appliance isn't running if it doesn't need to be. Let's start with the basics though. It's a refrigerant (compressor) dehumidifier with a built-in humidistat, digital display and a 24 hour timer. Weighing 9.5kg, it's considerably lighter than the 20L version, and also much smaller. The plain white design isn't going to win any awards for innovation, but it's clean and simple to use.

The carry handle is promoted as a feature for transporting the unit upstairs yet the manual warns not to use the handle to carry the unit upstairs. Need a hand with your new tv or just want to tell us how much you love your new blender? Just give us a bell and our super friendly team will be more than happy to help! Most dehumidifiers have their noise levels listed in their specifications, although in practice we didn't find that much variation between models, with most falling somewhere between 35 and 45dB.

What stands out?

Unlike other standard dehumidifiers, with the ElectriQ 12L dehumidifier you do not need to worry about spillages. The machine features an audible full tank alarm that goes off when the tank collects water to its maximum capacity. There is also a LED light that starts to flash, and the device turns itself off automatically. After this, it can only resume functions when the tank is emptied. Laundry drying mode MD400 Mini Compact - Built to be lightweight and compact, the MD400 has a smaller water tank and a slim design. One complaint we have about this model is the 5 litre water tank. While this is bigger than most tanks, we would have liked a 6 litre tank considering the high maximum extraction rate. It's also not cheap, so there are probably better options if you don't need the "Smart" features.

A dehumidiifer can be especially useful in poorly insulated or unventilated rooms, or over the winter months when we're all trying to dry a lot of wet washing indoors. As cleaning expert, Matthew Harrison from Price Your Job explains, if you house suffers from more serious damp issues, then 'to prevent future mould problems, you should consider draught-proofingand other jobs which will prevent moisture from entering your home in the first place'. Do dehumidifiers help to dry clothes? Finding the best dehumidifier for your home depends a lot on the type of moisture issue you're trying to solve, so it's always worth speaking with the customer service department of the manufacturer you're hoping to buy from to ensure you have the right model for your needs. If you have more serious damp issues, then although a dehumidifier can help to reduce the problem and improve the air quality in your home, it won't prevent the damp from occurring in the first place, so it's important to get to the root of the issue. Read our guide to how to get rid of damp for help in identifying the cause of your damp issues, and how to treat them. The ElectriQ 12L dehumidifier has remarkable features, and now let us compare it with one of the best brands- the NETTA 12L dehumidifier. ElectriQ 12L We have a few complaints about this model though. The main problem is that we feel it's overpriced, considering the basic features and 12L extraction rate. It's also relatively noisy and surprisingly heavy. The Electriq CD10L performs adequately at room temperature, but it can't match the best 10 litre dehumidifiers for water removal. When the temperature drops it really starts to struggle though - even more than the average refrigerant. If you're wondering how to get rid of mould in a poorly ventilated room, or trying to combat excess moisture or humidity inside the home, then a dehumidifier can be a useful tool in your arsenal.

And, whilst this Russell Hobbs number is cheaper upfront, running costs are higher, with the 20L dehumidifier using 440W of energy compared to Meaco's 20L Arete One which uses 216W on average. Plus, the Arete One offers a built-in air purifier which this model does not. While both gadgets extract 12L of water per day, the ElectriQ 12L dehumidifier is a better option when it comes to the water tank capacity. The NETTA dehumidifier can only hold up to 1.5 litres, as compared to ElectriQ 12L dehumidifier which holds up to 2.5L.

Refrigerant dehumidifiers work best when there is a big difference in temperature between the coils and air. This is why they tend to be most effective at room temperature and above, but gradually become worse as the temperature drops. To take advantage of this great offer just simply add the warranty extension you want and we'll do the rest. It can't quite beat the MeacoDry Arete One on overall performance, but if you're willing to put up with noisier operation and higher running costs in exchange for its powerful performance, then this Pro Breeze model will make short work of getting wet washing ready for the airing cupboard. Yes you can use this unit in the bathroom. Just ensure all the windows are closed to ensure best performance.
