The album performed similarly well on the Irish Albums Chart, debuting at number two behind Eminem's new album before rising to the top of the charts the week after.

The Official Swiss Charts and Music Community: Awards (Paolo Nutini; 'Sunny Side Up ')". IFPI Switzerland. Hung Medien. I’m not even sure what this is. It just sounds like someone has played a bloke with an okay singing voice snippets of popular music movements of the past and told him to head into a studio and record an album which emulated all that music. Things is, I struggle to hear even a shred of originality on Sunny Side Up. I mean the bloke doesn’t have an awful voice, but it just sounds like he’s been given a lyric sheet and told to sing - there’s very little here that he sounds emotionally invested in on any level.
