About this deal

Grab a copy of Assassin's Quest, boil your kettle and settle down for a thoroughly enthralling read!

Snail’s Quest, Repetition Quest, Tea’s Quest, Patience’s Quest, or just Ass Quest, for all I know Assassin’s Quest shouldn’t be the title for this book. Robin Hobb has created an interesting world , filled it with a variety of characters and told us an interesting story. There was a naiveté to you that none of the ugliness could stain, as if you never truly believed in evil. Her latest trilogy is The Soldier Son, beginning with Shaman’s Crossing and continuing with Forest Mage. I had to skip this review, but your raving most definitely would’ve made me add this series to my TBR if it hadn’t been on there already! Despite the complex political intrigues, the wide-ranging geographies and the ancient magics of Skill and Wit, none of these take away from the people at the heart of the story. The peace he had once again ripped away from him because other people decided that his work wasn’t done! Against those who have discarded them, they are no shields at all, but only additional weapons to use against their victims.

As Regal attempts to conquer the Mountain Kingdom, Fitz, Kettricken, the Fool, and Starling set off to find Verity, followed by Kettle, who is mysteriously knowledgeable about the Skill.I mean, I guess Verity being a dragon now is kind of sad, but Fitz and Friends still seemed to get their kingdom back with very little sacrifice on their part. It's perfect, if I could have asked Hobb to let me help her finish the book I don't think it would have been too different. But when Fitz is captured twice more, the excitement of the moment is quite dampened by the fact that I'm certain he will find a way out of his situation. The build-up going into these final chapters was immense; she draws the plot out so much that when the ending does arrive, it’s almost explosive because it’s so shocking that it has finally been delivered. I mean, they weren’t exactly the brightest… So I loved getting to see a bit more cunning on Will’s part, and Fitz being dumb enough to fall right for it!
