About this deal

The 53% ABV bottling is part of the distillery’s core 2022 collection, which includes Triple Wood, 7 Years Old Peat Smoked, 10 Years Old Peat Smoked, 12 Years Old and 15 Years Old.

The Tulchan Estate utilizes copper pot stills and chill filters its gin at 39.2°F to preserve the freshness of each botanical. A Taste of Tulchan Gin With financial belts being tightened the world over, when buying a top-end spirit consumers need to be certain they have made the right choice. Our Luxury Masters competition steers you in the right direction. The Luxury Masters put super-premium-and-above spirits to the taste testFor more than 22 years we have worked hard to build Tulchan into an advisory firm which both served the needs of our clients and of which we could be proud,” said Grant. DISTILLED IN SCOTLAND - Tulchan™ Gin is a small batch gin distilled in Speyside, Scotland, with flavors inspired by the terroir of the Estate located on the banks of the River Spey. Tulchan™ Gin has the traditional profile of a London dry style made in the world’s finest distilling land. Super‐premium‐priced world whiskies were put to the test next, with a Gold awarded to “golden syrup, spicy” Canadian whisky Forty Creek Copper Pot Reserve, and a Silver given to stablemate Forty Creek Barrel Select. From the whiskey-rich region of Speyside comes a sweet and herbal London dry, Tulchan gin. (Photo: Tulchan Gin) Tulchan Gin™is presented in a luxury embossed blue glass bottle with the official Tulchan estate tartan running down the side, reflecting the gin's Scottish heritage. The label on the front of the bottle includes an illustration of the Estate mascot The Grouse Piper playing the bagpipes and the wooden cork stopper has a Scottish thistle stamp. Tulchan Gin™ is a full bodied, juniper forward London Dry gin elevated with the Scottish botanicals that shine through

Now here’s an eye-catching gin. Stoli Group’s Tulchan Gin hit shelves last summer and while the gin may be London dry, the bottle is all Scotland. Made from a royal blue glass, a la Bombay Saphire, it’s stamped along the side with the official Tulchan tartan in tribute to the Speyside estate for which it’s named. The label features the Tulchan mascot, a hilarious yet very dignified Grouse Piper playing bagpipes, and the heavy wooden and metal topper sports a Scottish thistle stamp (whatever that is). As for what’s inside the bottle, Stoli Group has the deets: Initially Jaisalmer reads as a classic gin on the nose, however the pine, juniper and coriander make way for softer citrus notes, as well as grassy botanical undertones. The taste follows a similar pathway, with the added angelica root and liquorice, but this leads to the subtle but unusual exotic botanicals that make this gin so special – Vetiver and Darjeeling tea.The top accolade was presented to Bushmills Irish Whiskey Causeway Collection 2000 Port Cask. One judge noted the whiskey’s “delicious, elegant and luxurious nose”, and its “lovely caramelised tropical fruit – even better with water.”

With so much choice on offer, this year’s Luxury Masters competition sought to discover which products – across all spirit categories – were worthy of their price tag.The majority of food and drink we buy is shipped in from all corners of the globe, and we want to challenge that by partnering with two English producers who are the best at what they do, using fresh ingredients that are locally produced for maximum flavour.” The second team comprised: David T Smith, spirits consultant, writer and co‐founder of the Craft Distilling Expo; Evan Prousaefs, bar manager at Sexy Fish in London; Dimple Athavia, founder of All Things Drinks; and Matt Chambers, co‐founder of the Whisky for Everyone blog and the North London Whisky Club, who chaired the panel. However, the gin, which is part of the Stoli Group portfolio and distributed in the UK by Indie Brands, also benefits from a bitter edge with a long finish thanks to asparagus. Made using Pinot Noir from one of the Chapel Down’s vineyards in the heart of Kent and wild fermented eau de vie made with raspberries fresh from the Cotswolds, AKER prides itself on bringing out the true character of its finest English ingredients.

The tasting then moved to Pre‐Mixed/RTD – Ultra Premium expressions, where a Gold medal was bestowed upon Mirror Margarita Tequila. “Slightly on the sweet side, but the agave flavours come out exceptionally, with the lime not overpowering,” said Prousaefs. Stablemate Mirror Margarita Mezcal won a Silver medal. The Estate, in Speyside near Grantown-on-Spey on the banks of the River Spey, is surrounded by incredible views of lochs, moors and glens. The 22,000-acre Tulchan Estate is mainly a sporting ground, but it comes with fine dining, spa facilities and stunning accommodation options.

Flavor Profile

Stoli Group global brand lead gin Kara Anderson said: “We are delighted to launch our first gin expression from Tulchan Estate to trade and consumers. You can’t go wrong with a top end Indian tonic water, a good pour of Jaisalmer, and a twist of orange peel. Beyond typically luxurious spirits such as Scotch and Cognac, drinkers are also seeking to swap to other premium categories that are more affordable, particularly as consumers deal with rising prices and a recession looms. The best of the bunch are bestowed with a Master medal, meaning they scored above 90 points. Gold and Silver medals are also awarded.
