About this deal

Moschino's Toy 2 Bubblegum opens with a strong, well-developed pink hubba bubba note that starts off as a very authentic bubblegum but turns boozey within 5 minutes. This boozeyness is unexpected and pleasant and reminds me of what Guerlain's L'Homme idéale extrême does in terms of gradation and smoothness - just that the notes in Moschino's fragrance are more playful and generally lighter. I hate rose fragrances but I love this, it is such a pretty soft and sweet rose, it is actually unique to my nose (but then again I don't go out smelling rose perfumes, I usually avoid them completely) I really do love it, it makes me happy to smell. I don't care for the bottle but it's not like anyone sees it but me. Besides the pink bubblegum, I can't really identify all the individual notes. The overall vibe is sweet, unsurprisingly. I'd never guess there's cinnamon and ginger in the mix. It's not a heavy parfume, but I wouldn't call the dry-down fresh either. It starts out fresher than how it settles. Lasts a few hours on my skin, which I'm happy with.

The bubblegum note straight up hits you, in a positive way. Upon first spritz, the opening is LOUD!

The rosy hint I sense in the drydown is just magical. It’s the most prominent note for me, after the bubblegum. For some reason, it reminds me of rose-hip tea (or rose chai)!

Although this Bubblegum is more grown-up and nuanced than one might expect, it is definitely not for an office environment and I wouldn't even call it well-suited for a date. Rather, this is a fragrance you buy and wear for yourself exclusively. It is immediately obvious why this edition of Toy 2 is named bubblegum; the fragrance opens with a long-wearing sugary bubblegum accord. I don't know what any additional 'candied fruits' are here, as the listed lemon, orange, peach and blueberry are all I can separate - maybe some other kind of berry? I wish that the cap was transparent though, so that it would match; either that, or have the whole bottle covered in that opaque bubblegum pink. In any case, it’s still cute. :] The opening is a realistic blast of pink bubblegum. Not just a touch of bubblegum like it is often found in white florals, but the exact, unmistakable tutti frutti smell of old-fashioned bubblegum.

I feel weird because this has so much hate but I actually like it. Everyone has already said it "Bubblegum first 5 minutes, transforms into rose." I’ve never come across a perfume that reminded me of rose-hip / rose chai before, but hey! There’s a first time for everything. The only negative comment I have about Toy 2 Bubblegum is that the lasting power is very weak. It doesn’t even last for an hour, which is a sham! If the lasting power were to have been stronger, I would obtain this again.

This is the stage in which Toy 2 Bubblegum remains the longest, until between hour 5 and 6 it becomes a skin scent. When I had to wash it off around hour 8, this fragrance was still present in form of a soft scent which I interpreted as a tonka/vanilla combo but which more likely was the ambroxan. I'm left fully content. But underneath the bubblegum are some more perfume-like notes, mainly a sweet, very on-trend rose, and some creamy white musks. Some other reviewers criticized that, but I'm actually glad this not purely a novelty bubblegum perfume. I will always be young enough at heart to enjoy a pink teddy bear shaped perfume bottle and I love gourmand scents, but also I like my fragrances to have some layers! I recommend Moschino's Toy 2 Bubblegum for being the nostalgic, interesting, eccentric fragrance it is. But do test before you buy! Moschino's Toy 2 Bubblegum, despite it's awful name, is not bad at all. When I tried it out first I was sceptical of it, but then I ended up wanting the full bottle. It is a fragrance that is far more complex and interesting than it looks. While it appears to target girls and women in their teens and twens, in fact it works well on any gender - given your personality is right for it. As for the age-group, call me crazy, but I'd say that up to your fifties this scent might work.

Yes, the initial blast is a fun, ridiculously accurate and realistic bubblegum (I think it's actually the candied fruit accord, like pure concentrated bubblegum flavoring), but this would be unbearable to smell on myself for more than a few minutes, so I was very glad when that settled down and the fragrance’s surprisingly chic and wearable heart revealed itself. I do detect the bubblegum note, it hits quite early on. (I actually thought it's in the top notes) It's not Hubba Bubba though, but some other familiar PINK bubblegum from the childhood that you could blow big bubbles with. Sadly the bubblegum scent is quite short-lived ~ I wish it lasted longer!!Top notes: Candied citrus fruits, Italian lemon essence and orange essence combine with a bubblegum accord Around 20 minutes after application, I'm hit by total surprise, because now the whole thing had developed into something I have not smelt in a long time: Kanebo's "Otoko kaoru"; a rose-scented bubblegum which was a hit in Japan during the noughties but has been discontinued for quite a few years now. I honestly did not expect to smell this ever again and certainly not here! Even though the "Otoko kaoru" quality is more pronounced on paper because here the citric aspects of the scent are more prominent in comparison to my skin they are more dull and powdery, at this point I'm hooked. I hoped this stage would last forever. Ah well... this could be great fragrance if the bubblegum note lasted longer... I tried this today on a paper strip and I can confirm that the previous reviewers were right - the opening is very nice, very authentic bubblegumm-y, very sweet... but then it transforms itself into this Bulgarian rose element I don't really like. I appreciate the rose is not as strong and suffocating as in some other perfumes (I have strange aversion towards potent Bulgarian rose note, I don't know why), so it's still kind of nice and not overwhelming, but the bubblegum should have lasted longer I think.
