In this brand-new book of magical adventures, there are very naughty monkeys, a swimming pool filled with ice cream, and the best birthday party ever - complete with giant cakes and fairy dust. Ella spends time with fairies and mermaids, helping save whales and solving robberies, all with the help of her fairy mother - although Mummy Fairy's spells do not always go to plan! Ella is a fairy-in-waiting, as she is not old enough to go to fairy school, but her Aunty Jo and her Granny are also fairies and help and support her, mostly! When fairy Aunty comes to school with Ella and tries to help her with her science project and defeat the unkind Zoe, fairy magic doesn't always go to plan... She can do amazing spells with her computawand to make delicious cupcakes, create the perfect birthday party and cause chaos at the supermarket.

Mummy Fairy and Me: Mermaid Magic (Mummy Fairy, 4)

Overall, I think that this is a wonderfully cute book for young girls. It is fairly long, but does have some pictures. It is the perfect book to read with a child.

My niece is 8 years old and the book was perfect for her because we would take turns reading the book. The story was really enjoyable. It was funny. My niece really enjoyed the spells. And she thought that it would be cool if it was real (that your mom could turn into a fairy). From the bestselling author of the Shopaholic series and our YA Finding Audrey, comes the first of a duology for young readers about a girl learning to become a fairy from her imperfect fairy mom, with a tech twist.

The relationship between the mother and the daughter drew me in, as it was built on friendship and understanding. I will try everything Sophie Kinsella writes at least once... I've not always been super enthusiastic (some of the most recent Shopaholic books were painful) but I've had awesome surprises ( Finding Audrey is perfection) so when I've heard she had written a middle grade book about fairies of all things, I was very excited! We both had such fun reading this book about a very modern fairy and her fairy-in-training daughter. We interacted with the storyline, joined in with the spells and laughed at the situations Mummy got them all into. We were both quite sad to get to the end but we have been cheered up considerably by the news that Mummy Fairy will return later on in the year. Ella's family have a big secret . . . her mummy is a fairy! She can do amazing spells with her computawand to make delicious cupcakes, create the perfect birthday party and cause chaos at the supermarket. But sometimes the spells go a bit wrong and that's when Ella comes to the rescue! Magic and mayhem in this sweet and funny new series for 5-7 year olds from global bestselling author Sophie Kinsella.

i love this book, it is the best book ever! By the way, it's the only book I like reading so much currently. Unicorns are a big deal. They have their own celebratory day each year (April 9) and they’re the national animal of Scotland! Plus, we have tons of wonderful books that are as sensational as everyone’s favourite mythical beast. Habe das Buch in ca. 2 Stunden gelesen. Eine süße Geschichte für kleine Fans der Zauberei, eher Mädchen, da es um Feen geht.

Mummy Fairy And Me Series 4 Books Collection Set By Sophie

Mummy Fairy!’ I said. ‘You’ll freeze! And your head will turn into a snowball! Shall I call Aunty Jo? Maybe she can cure you.’ But Mummy took no notice. ‘Here we are,’ she said. ‘I knew I’d find something! A spell to make you feel cooler. That’s exactly what I need.’ She got out of bed, stamped her feet three times, clapped her hands, wiggled her bottom and said, ‘Marshmallow’ . . . and POOF! she was a fairy. She tried all the different medicines in the cupboard, but nothing worked. At last Daddy called the doctor. I think that’s a bad idea,’ said Daddy, looking alarmed. But Mummy Fairy pointed the Computawand at herself and pressed a code – bleep-bleep-bloop. A friend of mine suggested reading a book of the author, Sophie Kinsella, for one of the reading challenges. I had lots of reading challenges at hand, so I decided to read the shortest book - it was a children’s book. This is not my typical type of reading even when I was a kid, as it’s a bit too cutesy for my tastes but I can see the over the top adorableness would work well for the younger kids. The physical copy also has really cute illustrations to look at while you read.
